This Carr's tin contained table water biscuits which the firm became famous for around the world. Carr's factory was built in 1836 at Caldewgate. By the 1920s thousands of Carlisle people were employed by Carr's. Today McVities operates the site but Carr's table water biscuits retain the Carr name.
